London Fashion Week returns to London on Thursday 12 September 2024, celebrating its 40th anniversary. Presented by 1664 Blanc and curated by the British Fashion Council, the celebration will include over 1,000 events across the city, with more than 350 brands participating. This year’s programme showcases the best of British fashion and highlights London’s global influence in the industry. Even if you’re not attending the shows, there will be plenty of public events, from pop-up exhibitions and events to retail experiences, celebrating both established and emerging designers. RÆBURN 15 | RETROSPECTIVE

#FLODown: Curated by visual storyteller Harris Elliott, RÆBURN 15 | RETROSPECTIVE explores the remarkable journey of a designer brand that started as a bold experiment and grew to reshape the fashion industry. Over the past 15 years, RÆBURN has led the way in disrupting norms, driving innovation, and championing circular design. This exhibition is not just a reflection on the past—it’s a forward-looking celebration, spotlighting the work of trailblazers across various fields, while offering a glimpse into the future of our brand and the broader creative landscape.

Naomi: In Fashion

#FLODown: NAOMI: In Fashion at the V&A celebrates Naomi Campbell’s extraordinary 40-year career, featuring over 100 iconic outfits, including her look from Sarah Burton’s final Alexander McQueen show, the pink Valentino ensemble from the 2019 Met Gala, and the infamous Vivienne Westwood platform shoes worn during her famous 1993 catwalk fall. Discover pieces from designers such as Versace, Anna Sui, Azzedine Alaïa, Burberry, Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Yves Saint Laurent. This super-premium drinks brand will create a vibrant hotspot for visitors to immerse themselves in the LFW atmosphere, complete with surprise moments throughout. Guests can savour the refreshing citrus taste of 1664 Blanc, available both on draught and in bottle from the airstream, while also picking up a limited-edition print, created in collaboration with British-Nigerian designer Tolu Coker and 1664 Blanc.

The Mandarin Bar

#FLODown: Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, will showcase the world of haute couture with its exclusive 'Cocktail Catwalk' menu. In celebration of fashion month, the hotel has collaborated with its sister properties in New York, Milan, and Paris to offer a cocktail experience inspired by the global fashion weeks. Each drink captures the essence of these iconic cities, with bespoke recipes crafted by the Mandarin Oriental hotels. Enjoy creations like The Fashionista from London, a refined take on the classic Gin Spritz, or the Americana from New York, a contemporary twist on the American Gold Rush cocktail.

Bocconcino Soho

#FLODown: The Italian restaurant will mark 40 years of fashion with a stylish five-course menu that pays tribute to the fashion world, accompanied by a glass of Taittinger champagne. Control Room B x Bombay Sapphire

#FLODown: Control Room B and Bombay Sapphire have teamed up to craft a series of gin cocktails inspired by 1950s fashion icons during London Fashion Week. Among the offerings is "Marilyn's Stiletto," a sharing cocktail served in a glass stiletto, named after the ultimate fashion icon of the era. Priced at £26 for two, it features a fruity mix of Bombay Bramble gin, Nardini Aqua di Cedro liqueur, pomegranate and passion fruit juice, cherry and vanilla syrup, and fresh lime juice.

Greenwich Peninsula x Chromatic Explorations: Kitty Joseph in Conversation with Zezi Ifore 

#FLODown: At the Design District, Greenwich Peninsula, London Fashion Week's 40th anniversary will be marked by a conversation between artist and British Vogue contributing editor Zezi Ifore and renowned textile designer Kitty Joseph. They will discuss Joseph's evolving practice and her relationship with colour and materiality. The event will also feature a look at Joseph's impressive archive and the unveiling of a new public artwork, Chromatic Riverwalk, inspired by the Peninsula’s natural environment.

Black Joy Day – Naomi: Model, Champion, Activist

#FLODown: Black Joy Day – Naomi: Model, Champion, Activist celebrates Naomi Campbell's 40-year career as a model and cultural icon, highlighting her activism and contributions to fashion, including her support for Black designers and advocacy for diversity. The event features a discussion on the NAOMI: In Fashion exhibition, developed with Campbell, showcasing her journey from South London to international acclaim. Discover her activism from the late 1980s Black Girls Coalition to her role in Vogue Italia’s 'A Black Issue' in 2007, and her impact on emerging Black creatives. Access to the exhibition is included, along with a light lunch.

Fashion Runway at Heathrow

#FLODown: Heathrow Airport is partnering with inclusive model agency The MiLK Collective during London Fashion Week to offer aspiring models a chance to be scouted. Passengers passing through Terminal 5 will be considered for a modelling contract with the agency, known for its diverse approach and high-profile clients. The initiative launched with a runway show featuring models dressed in a mix of high fashion and travel essentials, and will continue as the airport expects 1.75 million travellers during Fashion Week. Scouts will return on 13 September, giving more passengers the opportunity to be discovered.

BFC x eBay Endless Runway 

#FLODown: eBay is highlighting circular fashion during London Fashion Week with the "eBay Endless Runway," curated by Pre-Loved Style Director Amy Bannerman. This event will showcase archival pieces from prominent UK designers such as J.W. Anderson, Christopher Kane, and Simone Rocha. It will be streamed live on eBay Live, offering viewers a chance to shop in real-time. The runway show is set for 12 September 2024, at 6pm , with additional pre-owned fashion pieces released daily on eBay from 12 - 17 September. eBay will also feature daily 'Curated Edits' of designer fashion throughout the week.
