Giuseppe Penone: Art and Ecology

A major retrospective of Giuseppe Penone will be on display at Serpentine South Gallery in April 2025. One of the leading figures of the Arte Povera movement, Penone’s exhibition will span works created from 1977 to the present, exploring humanity’s connection with the natural world. Using materials such as wood, bronze, and wax, his sculptures and drawings highlight the vitality of nature, underscoring its profound resonance in art. The exhibition, set against the backdrop of Kensington Gardens, offers a fitting space for this reflection on ecology.
