London galleries to reopen from June 15th
Following the announcement that non-essential shops can open from June 15th, several London galleries will be reopening their doors by appointment only. Social distancing will be observed and visitors will be encouraged to wear face masks.
Here are some of the galleries set to open next week.
White Cube

Mason’s Yard – Peter Schuyff
What’s the deal?
White cube has announced they will have mandatory timed visiting slots and designated routes through the exhibition. Cerith Wyn Wvans – No realm of thought… No field of vision and Peter Schuyff exhibitions will be open until 2nd and 8th August respectively.

The gallery will be open by appointment only. Book your appointment here.
From 30th June the gallery will be open to the public, however, to comply with social distancing, the gallery will admit a maximum of 4 visitors at a time.
The Ella Kruglyanskaya: ‘This is a Robbery’ exhibition will be extended until 24th July 2020.

Goodman Gallery

What’s the deal?
The Goodman Gallery will be reopening by appointment only, with select works available to view whilst they deinstall the Shirin Neshat exhibition. The gallery has stated they will reopen to the public with something new and that speaks to the moment, referring to the global Black Lives Matter demonstrations protesting the killing of a black man in the US, George Floyd.
In July, the gallery will open a major presentation of photographs by the South African artist David Goldblatt.

Pace Gallery

James Turrell
What’s the deal?
Pace Gallery will currently reopen by appointment only and will gradually offer more availability for the public to book viewing slots on Eventbrite. Book your appointments here.
The James Turrell exhibition will be available until August 14th 2020.
Opening hours:
Monday- Friday 11am- 4pm
When visiting these galleries visitors are encouraged to:
Wear face masks whilst in the building.
Adhere to social distancing of 2 metres apart.
Remember coat and bag checks will most likely not be available so try not to bring large bags or luggage.
