Korean Art London, celebrating K-Art, is set to open in London this summer
Korean Art London 2023 is a new boutique fair, exhibiting works from over thirty established and emerging South Korean artists across various media.
Korean Art London is an upcoming art fair that will debut in London this summer, featuring 33 exhibitors and an exciting exhibition program. Showcasing the works of South Korea's leading artists, as well as emerging talents, the fair offers a comprehensive view of contemporary South Korean art. Through booth-style presentations, curated displays at Mall Galleries, and satellite exhibitions, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the diverse and vibrant South Korean art scene.
Renowned artists such as Sang Woon Nam, known for his Blue Moon ultramarine paintings of photorealist lotus leaves, and Na Ri Choi, a contemporary pop artist with unmistakable cartoon characters inspired by squeezy sauce bottles, will be among the featured artists. The exhibition will also highlight the works of Sung Hee Kim, Lee K, Hyoung Pyo Hong, Ji Young Hong, and many others who bring unique perspectives and styles to their artwork. The selection of artists reflects the breadth of talent and artistic expression present in South Korea today.
The Fair will be organised into different galleries, each with its own distinct theme. The East Gallery at Mall Galleries will showcase the works of four exceptional artists who have established global reputations in contemporary South Korean painting. The West Gallery will explore the convergence of traditional Korean culture and cutting-edge practices, while the North Gallery will focus on the expressive use of colour and its dialogue with inner and outer worlds. With its dynamic exhibition program and diverse range of artists, Korean Art London promises to be an exciting platform for discovering and collecting South Korean art in all its forms.
Visitors to KAL will also enjoy South Korean culture: street food and refreshments, plus a programme of events featuring live performance and music, including K-Pop, at the Friday night Art Party.
Date: 7-22 July 2023. Location: Mall Galleries, The Mall, London SW1. Price: from £10.80. Concessions available. Book now.
