Queen’s Park will host an epic end-of-summer street party on Lonsdale Road
Queen’s Park is gearing up to say a stylish goodbye to summer with a lively street party on Lonsdale Road, taking place on Friday 13th September. This vibrant event promises to bring the local community together, featuring a dynamic set from Hed Kandi DJ John Jones and a diverse selection of dishes from the area’s renowned restaurants. It’s the ideal chance to unwind and relish the final days of summer.
Lonsdale Road, once a hub for Hackney carriages, has transformed into a dynamic and creative space known as “A Village within a Street.” This neighbourhood is home to a diverse range of businesses, from yoga studios to some of the city's favourite dining spots, including Pizza Pilgrims, Milk Beach, Carmel, and the newly arrived Lula. These establishments have garnered high praise from critics, with The Guardian’s Jimi Famurewa describing Carmel as offering a truly special dining experience, while the Evening Standard has lauded Milk Beach for its impressive fusion of flavours.
The street party will feature a feast of specially curated dishes and drinks. Guests can sample Carmel’s spicy merguez and BBQ urfa chilli chicken, Lula’s European-inspired dishes, and Milk Beach’s butter-poached lobster rolls. To complement the food, there will be a selection of spritz cocktails, beers, and Pizza Pilgrims’ famed slices. With free entry, the street party is a fantastic opportunity to experience the best of Queen’s Park’s dining scene in a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
