New food and craft market to launch at Elephant Park in Elephant and Castle
Elephant Park in Elephant and Castle is launching a weekly outdoor market with street food, artisanal goods, and 100 free lunches on opening day.
Elephant and Castle’s new neighbourhood, Elephant Park, is set to launch an exciting outdoor market on Saturday 12 October. The Market at Elephant Park will feature a rotating selection of independent traders offering street food, artisanal products, and designer crafts. Located in the 2.5-acre award-winning park, it will open every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. To celebrate the grand opening, visitors can claim one of 100 free lunches, available on a first-come, first-served basis by picking up a voucher from the Elephant Park team outside The Tree House pavilion.
Organised in collaboration with Real Food Markets, known for its success with other popular London markets, The Market at Elephant Park promises a carefully curated range of vendors. Over 20 traders will be featured each weekend, including PastaLab, Churros Garcia, and bakery EMMY, renowned for its homemade cookies and seasonal treats. Reflecting the area’s rich Latino heritage, visitors can enjoy speciality Colombian coffee from Andino, sustainable Mezcal from Oaxaca, and fresh oysters from Rocks Oysters, paired with Bloody Marys and craft drinks from East London’s 40ft Brewery.
Elephant Park is fast becoming a go-to spot in South London, offering not only the new market but also a range of independent cafés, restaurants, and leisure venues.
