Celebrating 30 years: a look back at the iconic flyers and artwork that defined Bugged Out!
Bugged Out!, one of the UK’s longest-running electronic club nights, is set to mark its 30th anniversary with a spectacular event at Drumsheds on 9 November. The celebration will feature a stellar DJ set from The Chemical Brothers, alongside performances from Modeselektor (DJ set), Octave One (live), Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, James Holroyd, Simian Mobile Disco, and many more. Since its inception in November 1994 at Manchester’s Sankeys Soap, Bugged Out! has been a launching pad for some of the most innovative acts in electronic music. The club night boasted unforgettable performances from The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk in its very first year, while also hosting early UK shows for Green Velvet and Derrick Carter, and residencies from renowned DJs like Erol Alkan and Dave Clarke.
In celebration of Bugged Out!’s 30th anniversary, we look back at the cutting-edge flyers and artwork that have become synonymous with the brand over the years. These designs not only reflect the evolution of the club’s aesthetic but also highlight its role in the ever-changing landscape of electronic music.
